On Saturday, November 9, the South Gate community learned how to screen print two colors on a t-shirt. The Creative Workshop was sponsored by the County of Los Angeles Public Library Leland R. Weaver Branch. Adults and kids alike printed on t-shirts and tote bags throughout the day. Fabric pens on each of the work tables let the participants personalize their screen printed garments. The second workshop will be held this Saturday, November 16. The first workshop taught textile printing while the second workshop will teach graphic printing. Participants will learn how to print a poster that can be made into a hanging mobile or a storybook. Event starts at 12:00pm at South Gate Sports Center, 9520 Hildreth Avenue, South Gate, CA 90280.
