Winning the commission to design 2D public art for a new library in the County of Los Angeles. The artwork is comprised of computer-generated collages laminated between two pieces of glass. The collages are created by layering photo graphs taken of various trees species found in the community. The trees symbolize sustainability as well as the diversity of the community. The location and size of the artwork is a response to the design of the architecture. Six glass pieces range in size from 1-‘6”W, 2-6”W, 5’-0”W and 9’-6” W x 13’-6”H and are mounted in the Main Reading room of the new library. Photography of installed artwork by William Short.
